Regulation Update, AMS2750F
What is New in the Updated AMS2750F?
The AMS2750 specification covers pyrometric requirements for thermal processing equipment used for heat treatment. It applies to temperature sensors, instrumentation, thermal processing equipment, system accuracy tests, and temperature uniformity surveys.
The updated AMS2750F was released in June 2020. It outlines several specific changes relating to thermocouples and instruments that integrate with the Nadcap pyrometry reference guide requirements.
Digital Recording Requirements
Of note, is the new requirement that all recording devices must be digital and have readability of 0.1 degrees F by June 2022.
Honeywell offers a number of recording options to meet this criteria. The DR graphic recorder is a seamless upgrade from traditional paper recorders with the following benefits:
- Quick visualization and documentation of your process
- Faster data analysis
- Better access to secure data
- Data encryption
- AMS2750F compliant
