GTH: NNHRA Best Place to Work Finalist
For the Second Year in a Row, we’re a Finalist for Northern Nevada's Best Places to Work
At George T. Hall, we have a lot to be proud of—from our legacy in automation and control solutions to the partnerships we’ve built over the years. But when we talk about what truly makes us stand out, it always comes back to our people. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that for the second year in a row, we’ve been named a Finalist in the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association’s (NNHRA) Best Places to Work Awards.
This recognition hits home because it isn’t based on outside perception—it’s based on direct, anonymous feedback from our team. It reflects how our people feel about working here, and to us, that’s the highest compliment we could receive.
Why This Recognition Matters
The Best Places to Work Awards, hosted annually by the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association, shine a spotlight on organizations that foster truly exceptional workplace cultures. NNHRA is a respected regional resource for HR professionals and companies committed to building meaningful, people-first workplaces. Their awards are data-driven, based on employee surveys that measure everything from workplace satisfaction and benefits to communication and team morale.
Making the finalist list once is an honor. Making it twice shows that what we’re building at George T. Hall isn’t a moment, it’s a movement.
What Makes GTH a Great Place to Work?
Our tagline says it best: "Experience a company of kind, generous, creative humans who enjoy solving automation challenges." And that’s not just marketing language, it’s how we live and work every day.
We’re a people-centered company built on a foundation of collaboration, continuous improvement, and growth mindset. That means we don’t just hire talent—we invest in it. Our leadership team is proof of that commitment: 90% of our leaders began in entry-level roles. They’ve grown with the company, shaped it, and are now mentoring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
Even our company’s namesake, George T. Hall, set that tone when he founded GTH in 1932. His legacy lives on through our culture and through people like our current President, who began as a part-time employee and stayed with the company for 70 years. Even in retirement, he continues to serve on our board of directors and continues to contribute to the direction of the business. That kind of dedication speaks volumes.
We believe every voice matters. Whether you’re on day one or year ten, your ideas are welcomed, your input is valued, and your growth is supported. We continuously evolve our benefits, training, and support systems to better serve our team and help each person shape a career that’s meaningful to them.
Our work may revolve around control panels and automation systems, but our success is powered by people—by the kind, driven, and forward-thinking team members who show up every day ready to build, solve, and improve.
Built Beyond Expectations
We often say that our team and our solutions are “built beyond expectations.” That’s not just about technical capabilities, it’s about creating a workplace that encourages excellence, innovation, and heart. Our solutions might be engineered for precision, but our culture is designed for people: collaborative, flexible, and filled with opportunities to grow.
We don’t take being a small business lightly. It means we can move quickly, support each other, and be intentional about how we show up for our customers and each other. From designing career paths to enhancing employee benefits, every improvement we make is centered around creating a better experience—for our clients and for our team.
Mark Your Calendars: Gala May 9
Final rankings for the Best Places to Work awards—1st, 2nd, and 3rd place—will be announced on May 9, 2025, at the NNHRA Best Places to Work Gala. We’re proud to be finalists again, and regardless of the outcome, we’re celebrating the incredible culture we’ve built and the people who make it possible every day.
