We are focused on continuous improvement and developing a company culture where people want to come to work and this recognition confirms we are on the right path. But it doesn't stop here, we promise to continuously improve ourselves to ensure our people love coming to work each day.

If you're not familiar with the awards program it was created in 2009 and is a project of the Orange County Business Journal in partnership with Workforce Research Group.

This county-wide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Orange County, CA, benefiting the county's economy, its workforce and businesses.

To be considered for participation, employers had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Have at least 15 full or part-time employees working in Orange County;
  • Have a physical operation in Orange County;
  • Be a publicly or privately held organization;
  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit, or a government organization;
  • Have been in business for at least one year, at the program registration deadline.

Organizations from across the country, who meet the above criteria, entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Orange County. The first part consisted of evaluating GTH's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation. And as an organizations with 25 or more employees we needed to achieve a 40% response rate to the employee surveys in order to be eligible for list consideration. We were proud to such a huge participation rate from our employees of 81%. The combined scores from the two-part process is what was used to determine the top organizations and final ranking. The overall registration and survey process was managed by Workforce Group. They analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking. We were elated to see we were ranked #3 in midsize companies!
