GTH Teams with Contractor to Upgrade Manufacturer to Building Automation
A Southern California Aerospace Manufacturer was looking for a network
accessible system that would allow them to monitor and make changes to
schedules and set points in their many remote buildings
and sites. Because they have electrical and mechanical contractors on
staff, they wanted a system they could install and program themselves.
This request led their George T. Hall Company (GTH) Sales Representative
to suggest the Honeywell LCBS family of controls. The ChallengeWith our assistance, the customer has installed several "Rapid Zone”
systems including both zoned and CVAHU controllers as well as variable
frequency drives, exhaust fans and a variety of other HVAC controls
utilizing Lon Spec software as a commissioning tool. They have then been
able to discover the Lon Spec systems in Web Vision controllers
allowing them network access from remote locations on their network. Benefits include:- A scalable solution that is easy to install and maintain
- Network access utilizing LonSpec with the WebVision controllers
- Control over remote package units in remote buildings using programmable thermostats and WebStat
The SolutionBy partnering with Honeywell Environmental and Combustion Controls, GTH
was able to provide a quality control system to meet the customer’s
needs. |
