About GTH

The George T. Hall Company (GTH) was established in 1932 by George Hall and his mother as a small distributor of trailer, butane and heaters in West Los Angeles which soon grew to be one of the major trailer distributors in Southern California.

The constant need to repair the control valves on oil heaters sparked the entrance into automatic control repairs. The company started distributing controls in 1948, and by 1955 it had increased in volume so much that the trailer business was discontinued. George Hall retired on October 1, 1975 after running the George T. Hall Company for 43 years. Since that time, it has flourished under the leadership of Chuck Niemann who carries on George’s vision of the company as “The House that Service Built”.

GTH has developed a niche in Southern California as a provider of Automatic Controls and System Solutions for the HVAC, Burner Boiler and Industrial marketplace. We stock some of the biggest names in control technology today including Honeywell, Fireye, ITT Fluid Handling and Asco but we also have the experience to specify and service these devices. In addition, we have a staff of engineers capable of assisting with a wide range of engineering services including plan & spec, system start-up, programming & configuration and training as well as the designing and building of UL-listed custom control panels.

In September of 2006, GTH aquired Applied Industrial Controls Corporation (AIC) of Reno and Las Vegas Nevada. AIC, in business since 1978, focused on the heavy industrial industries in the state. In addition, AIC is well known for their high quality control panels originating from their 10,000 square foot facility in Sparks. AIC's work can be found in many states in the US, as well as in places like Mexico, China, and Taiwan.

The combined expertise AIC brings to GTH includes a highly trained and skilled staff of Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer, and Network engineers, as well as a constantly trained staff of Sales and sales support personnel. Specializing in high tech automation and communication, AIC offers integrated solutions for any industry, including the full integration of HMI software solutions, PLC & Industrial Computer solutions, and Web based technologies.
